Set Up / Tear Down Ministry

Each week, members of the Set Up / Tear Down Team ensure that chairs, tables, sound equipment, and tents (when meeting outdoors) are prepared for the service to take place. After the service is over, these team members stay to help tear down and put away Christ the Redeemer’s belongings so that Zion Lutheran School is left looking the same way (or better) as it did when we arrived.

Prayers of the People Ministry

Those involved with the Prayers of the People are responsible for leading the congregation in corporate and private prayer, using “The Book of Common Prayer,” after the sermon and before communion.

Greeter / Hospitality Ministry

Greeters and Hospitality Lay Ministers greet congregants and visitors warmly, provide help in locating resources on the information tables, answer general questions, and offer coffee/water before and after services.

Musician / Vocalist Ministry

Musicians and vocalists lead the congregation in corporate worship each Sunday. They typically practice before service begins at 9:00 a.m.

  • see Resources-> General-> Music for church music recommendations

Kids Church Ministry

Those that serve as lay ministers in our Kids Church either teach or work as an aid in one or more of our children's classes on Sundays. Currently we offer a Nursery for ages 0-3, a class for ages 4-6, and a class for ages 7+. Teachers and aids are usually scheduled to be present in class once every 4-6 weeks.

Scripture Reading Ministry

Scripture Readers serve the church on Sundays by reading a passage from the Old Testament and New Testament that correspond to the sermon being preached.

Intercessory Prayer Ministry

Intercessors lead congregants in private, intercessory prayer at the back of the church on Sundays during the time of communion.
